Big Ten Proving "Up To The Challenge"

The Big Ten Conference baseball teams could run away with the unofficial "title" of the inaugural BIG EAST/Big Ten Challenge. We amazingly still cannot track down the final score of one earlier game (UConn vs. Northwestern), but - even without that game - it's likely that the Big Ten will finish with more wins in this tournament than the BIG EAST.

The Big Ten holds a 12-7 lead in the Challenge and is leading in each of the final four games:

Michigan 3, St. John's 1 (SJU batting in bottom of 8th)
Purdue 3, Notre Dame 1 (Boilers batting in bottom of 6th)
Indiana 9, USF 4 (IU at-bat in top of 6th)
Illinois 8, West Virginia 6 (WVU batting top of 5th, after Illini scored 6 in 4th)

CB360 is busy preparing the all-tournament team for this event, but we will pass on blog posts when possible.
