OXFORD, Miss. - The No. 16 TCU Horned Frogs pounded out 25 hits and scored 19 runs on a cold, rainy afternoon to defeat No. 11 Ole Miss, 19-13, Saturday at Oxford-University Stadium. Matt Carpenter led the Frog charge with five hits, while Chris Ellington connected for two home runs and drove in four. The win is the fifth in a row for TCU.
All but one starter posted a multi-hit game and six drove in at least one run. Along with Ellington's four RBI, Jason Coats tallied four RBI.
The Frogs improve to 5-1 on the season. The teams will attempt to complete the series with a doubleheader on Sunday beginning at Noon.
