East Carolina Outslugs Oklahoma State




East Carolina knocked Oklahoma State from the unbeaten ranks with a 14-7 win in Greenville, NC. The 23rd ranked Pirates (4-0) trailed 7-4 going into the bottom of the seventh inning, but scored eight runs in the frame to propel them to the win over the 11th ranked Cowboys (4-1).

Stephen Batts, Drew Schieber and Trent Whitehead combined to go 11-for-14 at the plate with 3 RBIs each. Batts and Schieber each homered. East Carolina totaled 20 hits with no errors in the game.

Oklahoma State designated hitter Doug Kroll homered twice in the loss, while teammate Michael Dabbs homered as well.
