The Indiana Hoosiers, fresh off a 14-4 season-opening loss to West Virginia, have come out swinging today at Tampa's Red McEven Field – as the Hoosiers lead Georgetown 6-0, with the Hoyas set to take their turn at bat in the bottom of the 1st.
Indiana's fast start (11 total batters) included six singles and an assortment of other plays (a wild pitch/E2 sequence, a sac. fly, a hit batter and even a rare catcher's interference). Junior SS Jake Dunning (the IU #9 hitter) capped the scoring with a two-run single to center field.
