A day after beating Fresno State 1-0 for its first home win in 28 years, Oregon beat the defending national champions 7-1 Saturday.
Caleb Tommasini, Dylan Gavin and Danny Pulfer each had 2 RBIs for the Ducks (3-2). Danny Muno gave Fresno State (2-4) its only offense with a solo home run.
Oregon pitcher Erik Stavert scattered six hits in 6 1/3 innings with five strikeouts to earn his first division one collegiate win. Stavert is a junior college transfer from Chabot College in California.
The Ducks and Bulldogs complete their 3-game series Sunday in Eugene.
