(Denver, CO) Fresno State University has been picked by WAC coaches to win a fourth straight regular season league crown. The defending national champions received five of seven first-place votes and a total of 34 points in the WAC's preseason coaches' poll. San Jose State picked-up one first-place vote and 29 points to finish second, followed by Nevada with 26 points.
Fresno State junior third baseman Tommy Mendonca is the conference preseason Player of the Year, while Hawaii's Jared Alexander is tabbed as the preseason Pitcher of the Year.
